Cornhole at the RAC!

UGLY SWEATER TOURNAMENT: December 5, 2020

The Resolute Athletic Complex is ringing in the holidays in "style" with an ugly sweater tournament. Bring your tackiest, most bedazzled, light up, blinged-out sweaters and compete for a chance to win a lil extra present money!

Top 3 teams payout and there is a bonus prize for 'Ugliest' Sweater. Entry guarantees 3 games. Tournament starts at 12pm and runs until conclusion.

SPONSOR OPPORTUNITIES:

$300- Custom Cornhole boards (and bags!) with personal or company logo. Boards are high quality material made to American Cornhole Association standards and dimensions. The boards are yours to keep after the tournament. Custom boards make great holiday gifts!

Resolute Socially Distant Cornhole Leagues

The RAC offers recreational cornhole leagues and tournaments at different times throughout the year. Be sure to subscribe to our email list for information on upcoming leagues and special events.

 

Resolute Socially Distant Cornhole League Rules:

Dimensions/Distance

  • Boards are 24in x 48in
  • Spaced 27 ft apart from front edge
  • Pitching boxes are 36in x 48in, players should leave their box after each toss to ensure 6ft distance.

Bags

  • Bags are to be 6in x 6in, weighing approx. 1lb
  • The facility will provide bags to be used
  • If a player wants to bring their own bags, they must all be the same color for that team (i.e you cannot bring 1 blue 1 green 1 yellow and 1 red)

Scoring

  • 1 point is awarded to any bag on the board; 3 points are awarded to any bag that goes through the hole. (Bags hanging over the hole still only count as 1)
  • Any bag that is in contact with the ground is worth 0. Any bag that makes contact with the ground and then lands on the board is worth 0 and must be removed from the board.
  • Scoring is done by “net” or “subtraction” method. If Team 1 has 3 bags on and 1 bag in the hole (6pts) and Team 2 puts 3 bags in the hole and misses 1 (9pts) then Team 2 is award 3 points.
  • First team to score 21 wins. (No “bust” or win by 2 rules)

 Games

  • Each week teams will compete in a best of three format.
  • After each game players will report to the designated staff member their results.
  • Overall record will be recorded each week (2-1) or (2-0)
  • Best Record at end of season wins a Pizza N Pitcher!

Social Distancing/Safety Measures

  • Masks are Required
  • After making your throw, step out of the pitching box to give ample space between you and your opponent.
