Update: June 18, 2020

Lt. Governor Husted announced today that Phase II of the Responsible RestartOhio plan for sports activities will allow contact practice for all sports to resume on Monday, June 22.

"This means football, lacrosse, and other contact sports can resume scrimmages and full training regiments as long as safety protocols are observed," said Lt. Governor Husted. "Although June 22 is the day contact practice may begin, it will ultimately be up to local sports organizers and high school leaders on when is the best time to proceed." Training guidance is available at coronavirus.ohio.gov. The Ohio High School Athletic Association and the summer league work group worked together with the Ohio Department of Health on this plan.

Update: May 19, 2020

To our RAC Friends -

As part of the state’s Responsible Restart Ohio plan, the Resolute Athletic Complex (RAC) is able to begin the process of reopening on May 26, 2020. We understand that there are many in our community struggling with their health or the pain of losing a loved one. We can only imagine the difficult days our health care professionals faced and still do. As a business grateful for the chance to reopen, we plan to earn and honor this opportunity. We will do everything in our power to operate safely. We know you all will join us in this effort.

The Phase I reopen plan for the RAC includes RAC CrossFit classes, as well as, personal and small group training for fitness, soccer, and lacrosse. We will also offer small group field rentals for non-contact activities. And because we miss league play so much, we will offer a socially distanced cornhole league. The RAC Pub will be open periodically, or upon request, and will follow state guidelines for bars and restaurants.

At this time, we are not permitted to offer our soccer and lacrosse leagues. We are optimistic that both of these leagues can potentially resume in July if all goes well in Ohio over the next month. Our preliminary plan is to complete any un-played soccer games from the winter session in July. We would then start a late summer/early fall adult soccer league that would run from August to the end of September. Registrations from the Spring session can be carried over to the Early Fall session.

It has been a long 10 plus weeks for all of us. We are grateful to our state leaders, health professionals, and first responders who have done so much for our state. At the RAC, we plan to honor their efforts and work to help keep our community safe with the implementation of our Phase I reopen plan.  We promise you that we’ll follow all state and federal guidelines as well as take other precautionary measures we feel are necessary.

Over the past several weeks, the RAC team has worked diligently to update, paint and deep clean the facility. When you return to the RAC during the Phase I period, you can expect the following:

  • RAC employees and trainers will wear face coverings and conduct daily symptom assessments. Face masks are recommended for all guests, clients, customers, and visitors.
  • Staff is required to do regular handwashing before, during and after each shift.
  • Staff and all clients, members and guests must socially distance at least six feet.
  • The facility will be cleaned daily and RAC staff will disinfect high contact areas and restrooms every hour.
  • Fields will be sanitized daily and after each use.
  • Gym equipment will be sanitized before, during and after each class.
  • RAC clients, members and guests should limit the number of belongings they bring into the facility. There will be no lost and found for items left behind.
  • The facility’s ventilation system will run continuously.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be located in high-traffic locations, including the player benches.
  • Cash transactions will be limited.
  • Showers and lockers will be closed in Phase 1.

Each activity starting on May 26 will have its own set of rules to follow which the coach and trainer will provide and review with participants.

As a small business, the past 10 weeks have been a struggle.  We know our challenges were not unique to us and we share the pain and frustrations of the many small businesses in our community. This unexpected event has taught us all many lessons and also confirmed what we already knew. We confirmed we have the best staff and trainers and we thank them for their loyalty and support. We confirmed we have the greatest most patient customers anywhere and we thank you for your patience and support.

Welcome Back to the RAC!

Update as of April 29, 2020

On Monday, April 27, 2020, Gov. DeWine announced preliminary plans to being reopening Ohio businesses. Sports facilities, recreational sports, and gyms remain on the closure list.

COVID-19 Continued Closures 04.27.20

We continue to work on the facility during this time and our plan is to be ready to open as soon as we are permitted to do so with new safety guidelines.

In the meantime, we wish you all continued good health ...and we look forward to seeing you all soon. Please call 614-337-4502 and leave a message or email info@resoluteac.com with questions.

Update as of April 1, 2020

All of us at the Resolute Athletic Complex hope to find you all in good health and good spirits during this challenging time in our lives. To comply with the most recent government stay at home order, the Resolute Athletic Complex remains closed and all rentals, leagues and other activities remain suspended at least through April 30, 2020.

Although sports should be a lesser concern for all of us right now, please know that the RAC is preparing for a better day ahead. We are planning to resume and complete our winter soccer leagues, preparing for a combined spring/summer soccer session, and developing new youth soccer and flag football programs. We also remain hopeful that we can restart a major capital improvement project which involves installing a brand-new HVAC system complete with air conditioning – hopefully before the summer session starts.

While the timetable cannot be officially set at this time, we are hopeful we can complete the winter soccer session in May and offer a combined spring/summer session starting in June.

Until such a time that we can reopen our doors, there are ways to stay connected to some of our programs in the facility:

Soccer training videos: Andrew Curry, Soccer Events Director at the RAC, is producing a series of soccer training videos anyone can do at home. Coach Curry is also preparing to introduce new youth soccer camps and clinics this summer. Click here to link to the videos and to sign up for soccer training notifications.

RAC CrossFit online classes: our RAC CrossFit trainers have kept our gym members focused on their fitness goals throughout the Covid-19 crisis with online classes. You can also gain FREE access to the online classes when you sign up now for a CrossFit membership. April’s membership fees will be waived with membership billing starting when the gym reopens on or near May 1, or whenever stay at home guidelines are lifted. By signing up now, you will be able to access the online classes as well as other video content to learn proper technique. The online CrossFit workouts can be done with or without equipment. To sign up for the FREE online classes, please email Nichole Peterson, Head RAC CrossFit coach, at npeterson@resoluteac.com.

We would like to thank each of you for your support and patience through this crisis. We value all of our customers and we look forward to welcoming all of you back to play the sports you love! Questions can be emailed to info@resoluteac.com.

Resolute Athletic Complex Statement on the COVID-19/Coronavirus as of March 16, 2020

Given the rapidly changing nature of the COVID-19 Coronavirus crisis and new directives from the state of Ohio and CDC, Resolute has decided to continue the suspension of all youth and adult soccer leagues until further notice.  Scheduled programs, trainings, and rentals are also canceled at this time.

We believe the continued suspension of competitive league play is in the best interest of our customers and will help mitigate the spread of the coronavirus. It is our full intention to restart the winter soccer leagues and complete all games. The start of the Spring session will be delayed until the completion of the winter session games.

The health and well-being of our customers and staff is our priority. We will get through this together!

We can’t wait to see you back at the RAC!
