How can I access the soccer rules?

The Resolute fields are artificial turf that have an outdoor grass look and feel. Any type of athletic footwear is allowed including outdoor cleats provided they do not have metal spikes. There is no need to buy special turf shoes.

Resolute follows the US Club Soccer Age Matrix. For example, players born in the year 2015, sign up for the U10 division. Click  here to find the correct age group.

Adults: shin guards are recommended but not required.

Youth: shin guards are required for all youth soccer leagues (U10 to U18).

It is very difficult to reschedule games, so your team will need to forfeit.

To avoid forfeits, maximize your roster for subs. You can roster up to 18 players. This helps to ensure you will always have enough players.

A maximum of 18 players can be rostered on a  team.

All teams must wear a uniform, preferably numbered. A uniform is regarded as identically colored shirts. T-shirts are fine, they just all need to be the same color.

In the case of a uniform conflict, the home team (listed first on the schedule) shall change uniforms. Resolute will not furnish any alternate wear. Please have players bring a contrasting color T-shirt. The goalkeeper must wear a shirt that is a different color from both his/her opponents’ colors.

The Resolute soccer leagues are a team registration. If you do not have a team, you can sign up as a Free Agent and you will be placed on a house team in either the Men’s Open D division or Coed Open D division. House teams will not be offered for Over 30 divisions. I

When completing the Individual registration, please select your preference for the type of league you want to play in:

  • Men’s Open D
  • Coed Open D
  • Men’s or Coed

Men’s Open leagues are played on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Coed leagues are played on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

In the comment section, please add the following information:

  • Preferred night of the week to play
  • Soccer experience
  • Please note if you are willing to play goalie

As individual registrations come in, you will be contacted to let you know if we have successfully placed you on a house team or an existing team.

Team rosters and player waivers are due by the first game. Roster additions or changes must be made by the third game. Rosters and waivers are completed and submitted online.

To help you manage your team, Resolute uses a league management system called DaySmart. The system allows you to:

  • invite players to your team
  • easily manage team payments and track balances in real time
  • roll your team roster over to the next session
  • edit players and payments

If you have good reason to believe that players on an opposing are either too young for the over 30 or 40 adult leagues, or too old for a youth team (U10 to U18), you can request a roster/age check. The referee must be notified before the start of the game or immediately when the player in question enters the game. The referee will note the name(s) of the player(s) in question, stopping the game but not the clock, and notify the coach immediately that the player(s) are being questioned for roster eligibility or age requirements. That player must produce proof of age (birth certificate or driver’s license) to The RAC (not the referee) within two days of the game in question. If it is a matter of roster eligibility, that player(s) is to sign his/her name beside their signature on a roster copy supplied by The RAC. The coach will agree that the signatures match or continue the protest to the soccer director.

Completed games are not subject to being protested. The protest must be made at the time of the suspected violation. All protests should be made before the game starts.

The over 30 and over 40 adult leagues are permitted to roster no more than two younger players.

YOUTH:

  • U9-U10: 8v8
  • U11-u12: 7v7
  • U13-U18: 6v6

ADULT:

  • Men’s Open: 6v6
  • Men’s 30+: 6v6
  • Men’s 40+: 6v6
  • Women’s Open: 7v7
  • Women’s 30+: 7v7
  • Women’s 40+: 7v7
  • Adult Coed: 7v7

If the game is not going your way and your team is down by 5 goals, then you are allowed to add an extra player. Once your team scores and the goal differential in less than 5, then the extra player will have to come off.

Tiebreaker: 1. Most wins, 2. Head-to-head, 3. Least goals conceded, and 4. Goal differential.

All free kicks are direct! The distance on free kicks that a defending team has to give is 10 feet.

Your team will receive championship shirts for the season that you won. The team captain will be sent an email requesting shirt sizes. Also, stop by the front desk to take a picture with the Resolute Champions banner.

League games are two, 24-minute halves with a two-minute half-time. The clock does not stop for fouls or substitutions.

Go to your online dashboard and scroll down to “My Enrollments.” Click on the three dots next to manage team. Select invite and then enter the player’s email address. Max roster size is 18 players.

U10-U12 uses a size 4 ball

U13-U18 uses a size 5 ball

Teams may sub at any time during play, at their own risk (“free substitution”). Players should leave the field before being replaced.

The official game score will reflect no more than a five-point score differential. For example, if your team wins 10-0, the score will be recorded as 5-0.
